Your Commitment Level Tells Me

How You Show Up Says Everything

June 20, 20252 min read

Let’s talk about something most people don’t want to hear.

How you show up every time says more about your goals than what you post, say, or even write down.

If you're late to sessions, constantly have an excuse, roll in with a bad attitude, or resist every bit of change… that tells me everything I need to know about your commitment level. And it probably says more than you realize.

We all have off days. Life happens. But there’s a difference between navigating challenges and living in resistance.

Because here’s the truth:
Your body listens to the energy you bring.
Your results reflect the effort you give.
And your goals? They don’t care how you feel...they care how you act.

And if you're constantly saying “I can’t,” that becomes your reality.
Start paying attention to how often you use that word.
“I can’t do that exercise.”
“I can’t find the time.”
“I can’t eat the same thing every day.”
Yet… you drink the same overpriced coffee from Starbucks daily.
You scroll your phone during work hours in the same exact routine but somehow say you’re too tired to work out after work.

Trust me I’ve had those “can’t” moments too.
But I suck it up and remind myself that I’m committed to my goals the same way some of y’all are committed to that bum ass dude who’s been playing in your face for 3 years.

“Can’t” is a wall you build brick by brick.
And you’re stacking those bricks faster than you realize.
What would happen if you stopped reinforcing your limits and started rewriting them?

You can’t expect transformation by showing up halfway.

Your time, your focus, your willingness to get uncomfortable those are the real indicators of how serious you are.

So if you’re showing up late, skipping reps, complaining about the process, or giving off “I don’t want to be here” energy ask yourself this:

Are you truly committed, or just interested?

Because change doesn’t happen with one foot in and one foot out.
It takes full-body, full-mind, full-effort presence.

So next time you walk into a session with me, with yourself, with life remember this:

How you show up is how you move forward.

Choose to show up like it matters. Because it does.
